2013 PIONEER DIASPORA
BUSINESS PERSONS

The 2013 Pioneer Ethiopian Diaspora Business Person Award be bestowed on Diaspora entrepreneurs who have exhibited unique leadership skills and have introduced pioneering business(es) in the Diapsora or Ethiopia.

It is to be recalled that the 2012 Pioneer Ethiopian Diaspora Business Person award was shared by two dynamic members of the Ethiopian Diaspora business community: Tadiwos G. Belete , founder and CEO of Boston Partners PLC, andAto Zemedeneh Negatu, Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Ethiopia & Head of Transaction Advisory Services (Corporate Finance) Eastern Africa Ernst & Young LLP. Both individuals embody the meaning of a pioneer. As pioneer business men, Ato Zemedeneh and Tadiwos introduced innovation in to their respective business areas and took risks in untested business at the time of entry in Ethiopia. Both have been good role models and have inspired other Diaspora businessmen to take risk and introduce innovation.

The 2013 Pioneer Ethiopian Diaspora Business Person Awards Committee is currently accepting nominations for the award. Nominations can be submitted via e-mail to publisher@theethiopianamerican.com or abadefar1@gmail.com. The Committee is expected to finalize the selection process by July 19, 2013.
